My mother's commonplace book of sayings
contained a prayer
attributed to Reinhold Niebuhr

"God grant me

the strength to change 

what needs to be changed

the serenity to accept 

what cannot be changed and

the wisdom to know the difference" 

even the economists understand.
with their demand and supply curves,
that it's better to reduce demand!
For Keynes, expectations were...
